REMOTE CONTRACT:  Ebay Motors Group, Abingdon, UK  Aug 2020 – Feb 2021
Senior Backend Engineer – ColdFusion –Release processes for Lucee and BlueDragon CF applications 
My role is to help document  a new release build and deploy process for the Lucee and BlueDragon.NET ColdFusion applications at eBay Motors Group. The processes use GIT repositories to support a release process from development through LOCAL, DEV, QA to UAT and onto LIVE. I also help with resolving any technical ColdFusion coding issues that need additional assistance.

Agoria Community Software - ColdFusion Development       
While between contracts / jobs, I manage the software and development for the ColdFusion based Agoria Community membership, event and Content Management System. The software is supplied to a user community on a “Software as a Service” (SaaS) basis.  At the present there are 90+ community groups using the system including 30 around the world supported by the World Institute for Pain Prevention.
User led Enhancements:
Enhance the inter-group event sharing options for networks of groups in UK for Association of IVCs.

Contract ColdFusion Business Analyst and Developer – New in-house CRM Application
This was a consultancy and development project to build a complete CRM system for fault management workflow using ColdFusion 2016, SQL Server 2012 and Fusebox 5.51. The objective of the project was to replace the current third party supplied CRM application with an in-house bespoke system written in ColdFusion. All project control conducted using remote conferencing and email with the in house team. This project was an Agile build with daily client reviews and revisions to create the required solution delivered for go live on 6 Jan 2020.

Membership Certificate prints for World Institute of Pain (WIP).
Enhance the Group Network Navigator to manage large networks of groups in UK and Worldwide for AIVC and World Institute for Pain Prevention (WIP). 
Add API integration for the WhereCanWeGo.com web site into Agoria for the AIVC.

ON-SITE CONTRACT:  Red Ant Solutions, Godalming, UK  Jan– Mar 2019
Contract ColdFusion Business Analyst and Developer – Client sites security  
Engaged for a three-month consultancy to fix security issues in 12 pet insurance web sites owned by Aviva Insurance. ColdFusion based web sites needed changes to secure against Cross Site Script attacks and other forms of security weakness. I also became a Centre of Expertise to consult on the design and development of a recurring payment gateway with Barclays Bank. Red Ant Solutions had to quote for one of their larger clients on the feasibility of adopting monthly payments for provision of car warranty services. Provided support for two Classic ASP web sites and assisted with a number of websites using the ColdFusion based MURA CMS. All project control was conducted using the Jira workflow control system in an Agile development environment.

REMOTE CONTRACT: Aarhus University, Aarhus, Denmark  Oct– Dec 2018
Remote Contract ColdFusion Business Analyst and Developer – Student & Staff System Security 
Three-month consultancy and development assignment with the University IT Department to harden the security of a ColdFusion based University student and staff information application against Cross Site Forgery Requests. Used Business Analysis techniques to define the scope of changes required by the stakeholder development team. Provided a proof of concept set of code with wireframe interface for the solution and consulted with planning the update of the software by their in house developer team.

2014 – Converted older front-end code to JQuery.js displays in membership management and CMS system.
2014-15 API object integration with the Meetup.com events social media for various user groups

Contract ColdFusion Business Analyst and Developer – Intranet Credit Card Payment System 
Short term consultancy assignment In a SCRUM Agile based team tasked with updating a CFML credit card processing module. The new credit card collection module was to replace the existing JD Edwards interface. The module integrated the new SAP accounts into a Netbanx payment gateway for the collection of continuous credit card accounts. The client was moving from a JD Edwards to SAP ERP, which required several teams to maintain close working so that all the processing stages locked together properly.

Director + Community Software Consultant and Business Analyst 
Joint projects between AcivityForum Ltd and Briconomics Ltd to provide general ColdFusion business consultancy. CFML Development of a group based CMS application for simple community web sites using ColdFusion with a Fusebox 5.5 MVC framework plus SQL Server database. I also help customers set up the membership management back office software plus basic user training when requested by clients.
2010 – 2012 - Project with Briconomics Ltd to design and build a CFML based e-commerce and micro web CMS application for the RFU “Walk of Legends” project at Twickenham Stadium. The application led to further consultancy projects including the “Culloden Walk” visitor centre, Cardiff Millennium Stadium, Benfica Football Club and various other major charity projects.

Rugby Football Union (RFU), Twickenham (2001 - 2010)
Contract ColdFusion Analyst Consultant

Lead analyst consultant in a Basingstoke based team of ten from Objective Internet Ltd building a range of ColdFusion web sites with a Fusebox 3 framework and SQL Server database for the RFU plus England Rugby and the England Rugby Supporters Club. I built and supplied Objective Internet Ltd with a CFML membership management application. The software was able to support the RFU’s membership management needs of over 1,700 teams, clubs and membership bodies with a total of around 250,000 rugby fans and staff. The company Activity Forum Ltd was set up during this period to own the commercial rights to any membership software developed and I became one of the company directors.

Developer in a team of seven people at Objective Internet Ltd to build a ColdFusion based celebrity news web site for OK magazine. My tasks also included building a CFML dating web site to encourage and satisfy the love interests of their other adult magazine subscriber websites.

Contractor - Site Tracking And Recording (STAR)

This contract involved working in a team to complete two migrations for the cell Site Tracking And Reporting (STAR) system. The first migration involved moving the back-end from a poorly designed MS Access database to SQL Server while maintaining availability of the service.  The second migration involved changing the front end from an MS Access VBA application to an ASP web based front end. The successful completion of these two migrations by our team allowed the STAR system to grow from a small 15-20 user office system to a key 300-user web based application.

Contractor - Supplier Relationship Management

VBA and MS Access developer tasked with redesigning the MS Access VBA based SRM application to provide full task and issues tracking on Cellnet suppliers Ericsson and Nokia. This enabled the SRM Manager to have view and control of the status of all issues relating to the building of cell towers during the cell site rollout programme.
